The concentrations of trace elements are expressed in mg per kg tissue (wet mass). Iron concentration was significantly lower in curcumin-supplemented mice in both the liver and the spleen. The concentrations of zinc and copper were not significantly regulated. Copper levels in the spleen were below the level of detection which was ~2 mg/kg. Values are expressed as means+SEM.
