Cryo-TEM of liposomes. Cryo-TEM image of liposomes (8 mg/mL phospholipid) in PBS reveals mostly spherical unilamellar vesicles in the size range of ~45–100 nm (solid yellow arrow) although some multilamellar vesicles (dashed yellow arrow), rod-like particles (light blue arrow), and very small micelle particles (white arrow) were also present. The sample was imaged at 52,000× magnification. Scale bar =200 nm.
