Brackets indicate oligomers of the surface layer protein (NpdA) or clusters of proteins associated with outer membrane vesicles (OMV). Numbers indicate proteins identified by Shetty et al. [1] as: 1.) NpdA, 2.) Protein with domain of unknown function 1302, 3.) OmpC-like protein, 4.) Omp32, 5.) OmpA-like protein. Separation by SDS-PAGE was done in a 4–20% Tris-HCl gel with a total of 30 μg protein loaded in each sample lane.
