Peripheral T cell responses as measured by CD4⁺CFSE^lo proliferated cells for each individual with correlation to HLA-DQ genotype. Black boxes represent a response to the peptide with the SI ≥ 3. Gliadin epitopes are denoted as previously reported in the literature to be presented by HLA-DQ2 (α-I gliadin_57–68 QLQPFPQPELPY, α-II gliadin_62–73 PQPELPYPQPQL, and γ-1 gliadin_139–152 PEQPQQSFPEQERP) or HLA-DQ8 (α-gliadin_228–240 SGQGSFQPSQQNP and γ-gliadin_65–79 FPQQPQQPYPQQPQQ with and without deamidation at p1 and p9). Three of the new-onset CD children responding to two or more peptides have the DQ2/2 genotype.
