(A) Kinetics of 125I uptake. Bac-hTERT-NIS-Egr1-K5-infected Hela cells were incubated with Na125I at 37°C for 5∼120 min. Bac-hTERT-0-Egr1-K5 was used as a negative control. Results are expressed as means ± SD of three independent experiments. (B) Iodine perchlorate discharge test. Cells were incubated with 131I+30 μM sodium perchlorate or 131I alone. All experiments were performed in triplicate. (C) Cell survival rates after Na131I treatment. Baculovirus-infected Hela cells were incubated with Na131I at 5 MBq/mL for 18 h. Subsequently, cells were washed with bHBSS and incubated for 4 days. Cell survival was calculated as the percentage of absorbance relative to that in the blank group without 131I. Data are presented as means ± SD. *P<0.05.
