Lakeside Drive study site in the town of Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The length of stream and marshy areas is approximately 75 m. The study site includes several mat types: seep type mats (a, d) in the early spring and flocculent type mats (b, c, e) in the late spring/early summer. Scale bars are 10 cm (images ad) and 100 cm (image e). Images (ad) were taken facing upstream, and image (e) was taken facing downstream.
