Interaction between N- and C-terminal regions. Structures of BFX (B), BHX (C) and TmxB (D) showed the presence of aromatic clusters equivalent to the studied F-W-Y cluster of BSX (A). E and F clearly show that xylanase from Bacillus alcalophilus and Bacillus sp. N137 does not contain any aromatic cluster to hold its N- and C-terminals together. This figure is adapted from Ref.
