Figure 8. The effect of heat stress on the production of ROS in HUVEC cells.

HUVEC cells were treated for 2 h in a water bath at 37°C or 43°C. Culture media were replaced with fresh media and the cells were further incubated for the indicated time. The amounts of ROS were assayed by DCFH staining. H₂O₂ was used as a positive control. Data are presented as mean ± SD for three independent experiments, *P < 0.05 compared with control group(37°C).
