AP suppressed RANKL-induced expression of osteoclast-specific genes. BMMs were cultured with M-CSF (30 ng·mL−1) and RANKL (50 ng·mL−1), with or without 10 μM AP, for 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 days. Osteoclast-specific gene expression (TRAP, CTR, Cts k, DC-STAMP and ATP6V0D2) was analysed by real-time PCR, and results were normalized to the expression of β-actin. All experiments were performed at least three times. **, P < 0.01, significantly different from initial (d0) values; one-way ANOVA, with Student-Newman-Keul's test.
