AZI1–MPK3 Interaction In Planta.

T. majus (A) or N. benthamiana (B) leaves were infiltrated with agrobacteria carrying constructs for the constitutive expression of AZI1 and MPK3, fused to the C- and N-terminal fragment of YFP, respectively. Bimolecular fluorescence complementation was detected by UV microscopy 5 dpi; top: UV image, middle: UV/brightfield image overlay. The indicated area was enlarged and is displayed in the bottom image. No signal was obtained when either of the partners was co-infiltrated with the respective empty vector control (exemplarily shown for AZI1-YC + free YN). Scale bar = 100 μm.
