Myocilin protects cell from serum deprivation-induced apoptosis. A, control and myocilin-expressing Tet-On HEK293 cells were preincubated with 1 μg/ml DOX for 24 h and then further incubated in serum-free medium containing 1 μg/ml DOX for 72 h. Apoptotic cells (red fluorescence) were identified by a TUNEL assay. Scale bar, 100 μm.
