Cell adhesion activity of the full-length NELL1, but not of the C-terminal fragments, is reduction-sensitive. NELL1-FL and its C-terminal fragments were pretreated with 20 mm DTT and then coated onto 96-well plates at a concentration of 200 nm. MC3T3-E1 cells were allowed to adhere to the wells for 1.5 h at 37 °C before adhered cells in the wells were processed for counting.
