Normalization of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity in MK801 (dizocilpine) treated rat pups after physostigmine treatment. AChE activity, determined by an enzymatic activity assay revealed a significant increase in AChE activity at 6, 12 and 24 h after MK801 treatment (dark grey bars) whereas a single co-application of physostigmine significantly reduced AChE activity (light grey bars).
