ELB: estimated live births; LB: number of live births; MD: Maternal Death; MMR: maternal mortality ratio; MNM: Maternal Near Miss; MNM:MD: maternal near miss to mortality ratio; MNMR: maternal near miss ratio; PLTC: Potentially Life Threatening Condition; SMOR: severe maternal outcome ratio; PR: prevalence ratio.

The number of ELB in each age group was obtained with the number of total live births in the period by age group distribution, according to data from SINASC (Brazil, 2009).

Maternal near miss ratio (MNMR), severe maternal outcome ratio (SMOR), maternal mortality ratio (MMR) and maternal near miss to mortality ratio (MNM:MD). Brazil, 2009-2010
