Microfluidic channel design and volume measurement principle. (b) Principle of enteroid volume determination by fluorescent dye exclusion in which the perfusion solution contains a membrane-impermeant fluorescent dextran. Enteroid-excluded volume reduces area-integrated fluorescence signal.
