A. Cells of different stable clones expressing varying levels of EcSOD were exposed to 4% O2 for 24 h and protein was harvested for EcSOD activity gel assay. CuZnSOD activity was used as a loading control. EcSOD protein correlated with EcSOD activity without changes in CuZnSOD activity.

B. There is an inverse relationship between EcSOD protein and HIF-1α protein accumulation in MIA PaCa-2 cells that stably express varying amounts of EcSOD protein. HIF-1α and EcSOD protein levels were quantified by densitometry using Image J analysis. Spearman correlation coefficient demonstrates a significant inverse relationship.
