Fig. 3. — Comparison of frequency of micronucleus events in binucleated cells obtained via manual and automated methods of scoring (n = 3). Pearson’s product moment correlation indicated a very strong positive correlation between the manual and automated scores for 6 µg/ml MMC treatments (r = 0.921). A strong positive correlation was obtained for 3 µg/ml MMC (r = 0.520). No statistically significant difference was observed between manual and automated scores for the solvent (acetone) control. Historical micronucleus frequencies for Metafer for solvent control (26 tissues) and 6 µg/ml MMC (18 tissues) are also included.
