Effect of altering subcutaneous fat thickness with each excitation electrode placed 2 cm further away from each sense electrode while keeping the sense interelectrode distance unchanged at 30 mm. Note how the impact on all three measures is greatly reduced as compared to the original spacing (Fig. 3); the reactance is virtually unchanged in the 10–100 kHz frequency range.
