WaaO (0.1 mg/mL) and 1 mM MgCl2 were added to the WaaG reaction mixture and incubated for the times indicated. Initially, the product, Glc2-Hep2-1-deP-KLA (labeled CO), is formed. The products labeled CO* indicate the addition of multiple sugars by WaaI.
