Quantification of controlled cellular uptake of CPP-ELPBCs by flow cytometry. HeLa cells were incubated with 10 μM CPP-ELPBCs for 1 h at 37 or 42 °C. (A) Internalization was quantified by cellular fluorescence in live cells. All CPP-ELPBCs showed significant increase in cellular fluorescence at 42 °C, as compared to 37 °C, whereas nonfunctionalized ELPBC showed no difference in uptake between the two temperatures. *Indicates p < 0.01 between thermal conditions (two-way ANOVA, Bonferroni posthoc test for multiple comparisons).
