Expression of miR-21 was upregulated in MeWo and HELF cell lines following VZV infection at a MOI of 10⁻³ for 24 h. Expression levels of miR-21 in MeWo and HELF cell lines infected with VZV were assayed by qPCR and compared with those of non-infected cells. The experiments were conducted separately and in triplicate.
