Main drug interactions |
Disulfiram-like interaction with alcohol. Tricyclic antidepressants and sympathomimetics may induce hypertensive crisis. Rare cases of encephalopathy. |

Special points |
Weak monoamine oxidase inhibitor requiring patients to avoid foods that are tyramine-rich. Best taken on an empty stomach at bedtime. Dosed in 50-mg tablets; a patient’s individual dose should be rounded to the nearest 50 mg based on dry weight. |
