Multiple cell lines were transfected with either empty vector control alone, IL2D-VP64 (white bars, D) or IL2D-TBP (shaded bars, D’) plus remaining VP64-TALE activators (A, C, or F). Bar graphs shown are fold change in IL-2 gene expression relative to empty vector control. Below each graph is the identity and type of cell line used in study. EC9706, MCF-7, HepG2, and Hela are non-immune cell lines of epithelial origin. Jurkat and K562 are immune-related cell lines of hematopoietic origin. Results shown are of two independent experiments and error bars are mean +/− SD (n = 2). Statistical analysis determined using one-tailed, paired t-test (P<0.05 *).
