A. hydrophila-elevated Ca²⁺ leads to downstream calpain-2 activation and CaM expression. The pathways converge at CaMKIIg to induce cAMP/PKA mediated activation of ERK 1/2 leading to caspase-3 mediated apoptosis of A. hydrophila-infected HKM.
