Comparative circulation of naked αGal vs αGal coupled to anti-ICAM NCs. (a) Naked, 125I-αGal formulations, or (b) equivalent doses of 125I-αGal coated on anti-ICAM NC, as described in Fig. 3, were injected i.v. in mice. Blood samples were collected at 1, 15, and 30 min post-injection and measured for 125I-αGal content to determine percent of total injected dose (%ID) remaining in circulation. Intm = Intermediate dose. Data are mean ± SEM; n≥4. Comparison by Student’s t-test of each nanocarrier formulation to its naked enzyme counterpart rendered p<0.001.
