GA inhibits monocyte adhesion to TNF-α-activated HUVEC. Cells pretreated with GA (50 or 100 μmol/L) for 3 h were coincubated with TNF-α (10 ng/mL) for another 8 h. [³H]thymidine-labeled monocytic THP-1 cells were added and incubated for 30 min after TNF-α incubation. HUVEC were lysed after removal of nonadherent THP-1 cells, and total radioactivity of cell lysate was counted by liquid scintillation. Data represent mean±SEM obtained from 5 independent experiments. ^cP<0.01 vs TNF-α treatment only.
