Rarefaction curve of SNP discovery among the 26 WCR populations sampled. Starting with the first population sampled and continuing until the 26th we record the number of new SNPs each population contributes. The slope of the rarefaction curve is dependent on population input order, which in this case is arbitrary. To account for this, we selected 100 random input orders and computed the mean number of new SNPs discovered (solid black line with filled points) and the upper and lower 95% confidence intervals (dashed grey lines).
