DMF-field induced SPION rotation does not increase temperature. A dish with 100 nm SPIONs (10 mg/mL) in water and a control dish containing water only, each containing a temperature probe, were placed simultaneously on the DMF device. The dishes were then subjected to the DMF field for 20 min at 20 Hz. No significant change in temperature was observed in either the dish with the SPIONs (red curve) or the control dish (green curve).
