Morulae (m), blastocyst (bl), and unfertilized (uf) eggs are indicated. A larger proportion of embryos were well developed when fertilized by Nl1+/+ males compared to those fertilized by Nl1−/− males. A total of five wild-type or mutant males were mated with 9 and 11 females, respectively. Embryos were collected at 3.5 days postconception. Magnification, 50×.
