Physiological values of control animals (n=5). Mean arterial pressure (mAP), heart rate (HR), and arterial and venous blood gas measurements (PO2, partial pressure of O2; BE, base excess; pH) at baseline and 10, 55, and 85 min after the completion of saline infusion are listed. The subscripts a and v designate arterial and venous values, and bpm indicates beats per minute of the heart rate. Data are presented as mean±SEM. One-way repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) test are performed for physiological parameters presented in this table and the significant mean differences among four time points are reported at the 0.05 significance level.
