Repeated-measures analysis of variance compared between-group total and subscale WOMAC scores.
Prior-Control participants reported greater WOMAC score change in the active portion of the study than in the control portion (p=0.20) compared to Control portion (p=0.002 compared to baseline of Active portion). Compared to baseline scores, participants in the Prior-Control (p=0.002), Prior-Decline (p=0.05), and Prior-Ineligible (p=0.008) reported improved WOMAC scores.
