Inhibitory effect of micellar curcumin on NF-κB activity as determined in a NF-κB reporter assay. DU145 cells were transfected with NF-κB reporter gene. At 12 h post-transfection, cells were treated with free PEG_5K-FTS₂, free curcumin, and curcumin-loaded PEG_5K-FTS₂ respectively for 12 h. The firefly luciferase activity was normalized and expressed as fold induction over untreated control.
