The distribution of Log₁₀protein match alignment lengths. Note that almost 13,000 protein matches showed protein alignments of greater than 100 contiguous amino acids. Typically a contiguous stretch of 20 amino acids is considered sufficient evidence to indicate a potential structural relationship between proteins.
