PolyI:C-treated dams displayed significantly less weight gain relative to saline-treated dams, ^*p < 0.05. The two groups did not differ on initial body weight at time 0. (B) Rectal temperature of the dams did not differ significantly between the groups at any time point, although a significant main effect of time was observed. Temperatures were higher in both groups 8 h after treatment.
