Effect of rapamycin on life span of old mice. Age-matched 22–24 month old B6 mice were treated with vehicle or 4mg/kg bodyweight rapamycin by intraperitoneal injection every other day for 6 weeks. Survival of mice following the first rapamycin treatment were monitored on daily basis. Death ratio refers to fraction of mice that are either dead or moribund, n=10.
