The parameter constants (a, c, n and K) for the three models examined (Eqs. 1, 2 and 3, details in the Methods section) were calculated using least squares regression.PCN and Nt are the copy number of plasmids and the total amount of plasmid DNA (the number of nucleotides), respectively.
