Table 4.

Kruskal–Wallis (K–W) analysis of variance and post hoc Mann–Whitney (M–W) comparisons.

ROI Kruskal–Wallis
Mann–Whitney
All three cohorts (H-statistic) Z-scores from pair-wise comparison
PB–NS PB–AQ NS–AQ
Visual cortex (AAL-template) 6.53 2.34 0.28 2.29
PET-derived 3.39 1.92 0.38 1.47
Whole brain fiber tracts (TBSS) 3.76 2.13 1.61 0.15
Juelich OR 6.68 2.56* 1.51 1.62
Juelich OR ∩ TBSS fibers 7.16* 2.56* 1.32 1.92

The p-value significance threshold (α), were set at 0.025 for K–W test, and 0.0083 for M–W test K–W analysis of PET-derived and whole brain fiber tracts showed no statistical significance between PB, AQ, and NS groups. Although M–W comparing PB–NS showed a higher difference (Z = 1.92 and Z = 2.13), these did not meet the threshold for statistical significance.
