Knockdown of eEF2 inhibits cancer cell growth. Two shRNA vectors targeting different sequences of eEF2 (shEF-1918 and shEF-2804 targeting 1918–1947 and 2804–2833 nt of eEF2 sequence, respectively) or control shRNA targeting luciferase (shLuc) was transfected into PC14, PCI6, HT1080, A172 and MCF7 cells.
