Studies of non-specific adsorption of γDPGA to nanopores with positively charged tip. A single nanopore was asymmetrically modified at the tip with avidin, and exposed to a solution containing γDPGA. Non-specific adsorption caused a flip of the current-voltage curve, however the recorded negative currents were significantly lower than the currents observed upon binding of γDPGA to a nanopore that contained mAb F26G3 (see Fig. 10). The measurements were performed in 10 mM KCl, pH 6.0.
