Effect of ADSL overexpression on glucose tolerance. Mice were fed on high fat diet for 13 weeks and divided into two groups (n = 8 in each group). For one group, DNA construct expressing the ADSL gene was delivered to liver (HFD + ADSL), and control group received plasmid that does not express ADSL (HFD). 3 weeks later mice were fasted for 6 hours and glucose tolerance was measured as indicated in materials and methods.
