As seen from this figure, fibers can be introduced as short staple ones (a) or as long fibers forming a random bundle (b). The random bundles can also be cut into small pieces and dispersed inside the self-setting matrix (c). If fibers are spun into yarns, the latter can also be cut and introduced randomly into the formulation [(a), (b)], oriented (e) or may be woven or knitted into laminar textile structures (d).
