The figure shows meta-analysis of early BP lowering on early neurological deterioration within 72 hours (A.) or within 14 days (B.) after acute stroke. Risk ratios (RR) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were estimated event rates of intervention (BP lowering) compared with control (placebo). Overall effects were tested by Z tests and the heterogeneity of between-studies was tested by χ² test and measured as the value of I².
