DORA-22 promotes sleep in beagle dogs. GABA-A receptor modulators (eszopiclone and zolpidem) and antihistamine (diphenhydramine) produce paradoxical hyperarousal but DORA-22 induces sleep in dogs. Only DORA-22 was thereby assessed for salience-gated arousability and compared to unmedicated healthy sleep in dogs.
