An illustration of one of the transcatheter mitral valve repair devices, the Monarc system (Edward Lifesciences, Inc.). The device consists of proximal, distal and bridge sections. The distal anchor is placed within the great cardiac vein (GCV) and the proximal anchor is deployed near the coronary sinus (CS) ostium.
