Table 1. The amounts of 1-octen-3-ol formed from the freeze-thaw-treated conidia of ppo and lox mutants.

Strain 1-Octen-3-ol (nmol mL−1)a
WT 28.5 ± 6.48
ΔppoA 39.4 ± 8.74
ΔppoC 34.1 ± 7.13
ΔppoD 44.2 ± 13.07
Δlox 52.1 ± 13.17
IRT4 30.7 ± 8.54

Notes.

a

The conidia were suspended with GMM to be 1.0 × 109 ml−1, then, the amount of 1-octen-3-ol was determined after one cycle of freeze-thaw treatment. The mean ± SE is shown (n = 9). There was no statistically significant difference in the amount of 1-octen-3-ol between each strain (ANOVA, Tukey).
