Relative numbers of neurons (Hu c/d, nNOS) and glial cells (S100β, GFAP) were determined in neurospheres after 7 days under proliferation conditions (black) and after another 7 days under differentiation conditions (white). Data analysis demonstrated a significant increase in the relative numbers of both neuronal and glial cell types during the differentiation phase (p<0.001).
