Although the figure depicts ANO1 in the plasma membrane at the base of a nascent cilium as suggested by Figure 3E, we have no firm evidence that ANO1 is located in the plasma membrane. In addition, the proximity of Sec6, EB1, Cdc42, moesin, tubulin, and actin in the illustration is not meant to imply that they form a complex.
