LC-MS Analysis of GenQ/GenB1-Catalyzed Dehydrogenation and Transamination of Gentamicin X2

Selective ion monitoring was carried out on (A) [M+H]+ (m/z 483) and [M+Na]+ (m/z 505) ions of gentamicin X2; (B) [M+H]+ (m/z 481) and [M+Na]+ (m/z 503) ions of 6′-DOX, the product of GenQ-catalyzed 6′-dehydrogenation of gentamicin X2; (C) [M+H]+ (m/z 482) and [M+Na]+ (m/z 504) ions of JI-20A, the product of GenB1-catalyzed 6′-amination of 6′-DOX using l-methionine as an amino donor. MS/MS analysis of [M+H]+ (m/z 483), [M+H]+ (m/z 481) and [M+H]+ (m/z 482) ions are also shown. See also Figures S6 and S7.
