Alkylation reaction of 4-alkylaminopyridines with t-BuOK in DMSO^a.

^a1 mmol of 2 in 2 mL of anhydrous DMSO, at rt, under N₂. Then 1.5 mmol of t-BuOK were added, followed by 1 mmol of halide after 20 min. The reaction was kept under stirring for 4 h. ^bAll the yields are in isolated products.
