Basement membranes and mesangial matrix were stained with anti-laminin α1, α2, α4, and α5 (red), and anti-laminin γ1 (green) antibodies, as indicated. LMα1 is detected in the mesangial matrix in control mice (A) and is absent in Lama1^CKO mice (B).
